Arcade cabinet caster
lagourich:
Hello all,
I'm currently working on my very first Galaga arcade cabinet and I would like to setup casters in order to move it more easily.
The idea is to hide two angle wheels at the bottom back, so that it can be moved by laying down the cabinet at 45°.
I found the casters of my dreams on eBay, unfortunately it can't be delivered outside US and I live in Europe...
Any idea where I can found these, or alternate suggestions ?

Personally, I don't think wheels help all that much when it comes to moving an arcade cabinet. It feels like the cab is going to get away from me when moving one with the wheels. I use a furniture dolly, makes things a lot easier to control.

Those are awesome!

If you can't get those exact ones you can replicate the same way they sit by simply mounting normal fixed castors inside your machine at a 45 degree angle panel, and simply cut a hole for the wheel to protrude through - easy!

I just mounted castering wheels to the bottom of my cab so it would be easy to move. Of course, they don't work all that well on the carpet, but at least the cab doesn't move around during...err....vigorous play.
