While I have greater confidence Canadians will shoot this down than I do Americans, I'm a little surprised the entertainment industry would try it in Canada.

From what I understood the entertainment industry couldn't get a solid foothold there with their draconian "laws". Has the situation grown worse?

With all the rural regions in Canada, one would think torrent use would be limited.  I know about the city access, but on the whole isn't the population spread out more?  I am thinking along the same lines of carrier surcharges, due to inaccessibility.
