Can CRT_Emudriver Driver Cause Colour Problems??
Calamity:
These are the ones:
15625-16200, 49.50-65.00, 2.000, 4.7000, 8.000, 0.064, 0.160, 1.056, 0, 0, 288, 448
Use 3.000 and 9.000 for instance.
You can also install the CCC to see if you can tweak the colors to something usable. Is it something uniform?
lettuce:
Ok i tried changing these horizontal porch settings but it didnt appear to change the colour tint, this is what i have for the videomode.....
15625-16200, 49.50-65.00, 3.050, 4.700, 8.800, 0.280, 0.160, 1.056, 0, 0, 288, 448
(with that videomode Final Fight seem 99.9% to fit my SHARP TV screen perferctly, as i can see the white line border on the mame nag screen just inside the edges of the SHARP TV display)
I think the colour problem is theres too much red, as on final fight in the intro where you have the map of Metro City and it pulsates/glows red, when its at the height of the red glow the red seems to over saturate and you lose almost all detail in the Metro City map!
Now i have no idea why this has happened, but i have noticed that either these 9.3 CRT Emudriver drivers are doing something different or its physically this GFX card but with the old X600 card and 6.5 drivers when windows used to be booting up i could see the boot screen, (or though the picture was rolling) Windows loading screen and welcome screen, but with this HD4670 card and 9.3 drivers all my Sharp TV displays on boot up is a solid blue screen and i only get a picture when in windows itself so its defo doing something different if this is releated to what appears to be an overide on the red rgb gun is a different matter!?
Calamity:
It's normal that newer cards (HD 4000) output higher frequencies during boot than the older ones, I found the same thing using the Hd 4350 with a J-PAC, that's not related to the red color issue.
Download the CCC from here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/9-3/Pages/radeonaiw_xp64.aspx?&lang=English
... and try adjusting the red color individually.
