Wells Gardner 9200 27" digital (Wiring Question)-(pincusion re-visited)
lilshawn:
yes the top one usually is the "Focus" control and the bottom is the "screen" control. sometimes they will have 3, in which case, the top 2 will be focus and the bottom screen.
the screen control basically controls the amount of high voltage is being spit out to the screen. more voltage, brighter picture... sort of

Holy ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---!!!
lilshawn, you just saved my Christmas!!!
After my girlfriend kicked me out and I had the pincushion with the old board and blackscreen with the new...
I was going to have to put my cab in storage and make me a sad panda.
Had to jump through a few hoops
-got the brightness adjusted but just said "no signal" on screen. wtf?
-disconnected my (2) act lab guns to get a direct graphics card to monitor link, still "no signal"
-then went to display properties, dont know what I did, just opened and closed the properties for the wg, clicked "OK" and it fired right up!
Looks better then when I first bought the dang thing!
I'll see about re-attaching the act labs but then again maybe not, I hate the way the screen flashes when you shoot and I know there are more modern gun solutions out there.
I'm thinking a new Christmas present to myself thanks to you!
You saved my Christmas!!! :notworthy:  :notworthy:
Merry Christmas to you or whatever your pleasure!!

Well this has been awhile but my problem has acted up again, actually shortly after the original fix...
Since its related to the original issue I though id post here again.
replaced-(deflection board, video neck board and remote control board) worked for a bit fixing the original pincusion problem but now I get "pincusion" again.
Everything else is fine.
I called Wells Gardner when it happened long ago and the guy mentioned that somthing may not be grounded.
I will call him again but our schedules dont seem to match.
I trust the gurus here more anyway :D
So where do you think I start to look or test?
In the power strip? (smart strip)
Wall outlet?
Chassis?
Deflection board?
loose wire somwhere?
Back of tube at that rubber cup thingy?
