My first Control box...

(1/2) > >>

Hoppy:
so I scored a bunch of parts on craigslist on friday... ipac2 with usb cable, 16 buttons (1 has a broken post and 2 of the nuts have jacked up threads) a player 1 button and a player 2 button and two joy sticks...  got it for 50$

so I built a small control box to play around on and test all the parts...  here is what I came up with

there is some play in the joystick when moving... didnt know if there is a way to adjust

now I want to build my full cabinet!!

TopJimmyCooks:
joystick looks like a Happ competition.  you can reduce play by getting a stiffer spring or gently stretching the spring.  you can't really change the distance from when you move the stick to when the switch actuates easily, though.

welcome to the arcade madness.

Turnarcades:
Wiring your first panel is daunting, although much simpler than many think. You're over the first major hurdle so just don't frankenpanel or crapMAME your cabinet and you'll be set for a quick, tidy machine!

ragnar:
I know what frankenpanel is but what is crapMaming?
