Console to USB adaptors?
Mister Hat:
I need a cheap place to buy some console to USB adaptors. I need some for NES, SNES, N64, PS1 and possibly Genesis. The cheapest I found was like $4 for PS1, but the rest are quite expensive :(.
Jack Burton:
The cheap ones usually have input delay or mismapped buttons from what I've heard/seen.
What exactly are you going to be using these for?
I know there is a pcb out there called the universal PCB that works with many systems, and this some new and interesting things going on with the multi-console Cthulhu board over at the tech talk section of shoryuken.com
It's possible you might be able to use one of these two boards and construct a single USB box with ports for your various controllers.
Mister Hat:
Yeah I wanted something on my arcade that I would be able to plug in different console controllers to work with the different emulators. I don't mind improperly mapped buttons since I'll just be mapping them myself. I did buy a cheap PS1 to USB adaptor a while ago and I didn't really notice any delays. Anyway thanks for the response :)
Can you link me to the board you speak of?
Hoopz:
Did you check here:
http://www.retrousb.com/
Mister Hat:
After checking there, it appears I'd have to spend $152 which is a bit too much for me :-\.
