I'm not 100% sure but from what I have read and from playing my machine (take that for what it's worth) when you're playing, you're trying to get the big jackpot.  For me it's 3 "7s" in a row.  When I hit that, the payout starts.  I get a counter, let's say it starts at 30 and each spin it counts down.  Because I've hit the jackpot though, this is where the skill stop is involved.  (I'm a little hazy here because I haven't played in a while but...)  During this phase you are trying to avoid getting a JAC-IN (see later)  You can do up to 10 jackpot spins without getting a JAC-IN.  While I'm taking my 30 spins, I might get a replay (3 replays in a row)  This is called a JAC-IN (I believe).  This stops my 30 spins and the counter resets to 8.  At this point, all 8 of these spins will win (for me it's 15 tokens).  Once those 8 spins are over, you go back to what is left of you're 30 jackpot spins.  Again you have up to 10 more tries to avoid a JAC-IN.  Once you complete your 3rd JAC-IN, the jackpot round is over whether or not you've used the 30 spins.

Does that make any sense?  This is how I remember it.  The Jackpot comes from the JAC-IN tokens, the 30 spins are your chance to make extra winnings.
