Fix or ditch my arcade monitor ?
TPB:
Thanks Kev, boardjunkie, and Malenko. I appreciate your advice. :)
Unfortunately though, I don't have the skill to fix it.
boardjunkie ... there's no "H hold" knob on the monitor or chassis board. The only knobs that are visible, are those I've listed in my initial post.
Kev ... I've tried unplugging the Molex connections on the chassis board (that go the monitor), then plugging them back in. But still no luck.
It appears my only option is to remove the monitor & chassis board from the cab, and put them out with the garbage. :'(

Have you sent your question and video link to these guys? I listen to their podcast and they seem to have been able to diagnose many monitor and arcade board related problems...

If you're just going to trash them, then give or sell them to someone who does have the skill/motivation to fix it. If not the whole monitor then at a minimum the chassis. Drop the chassis in a flatrate box and send it to me if you don't want it :P

Thanks jtslade, I'll check that out ! :)
I'd really like to figure out how to fix the monitor. It adds so much to the atmosphere of the games when you play them on a genuine arcade monitor. An LCD display just isn't the same.
Kevin Mullins:
Do you happen to have another game board of some sort to test with? (any JAMMA game)
Just to see if it has the same issue.
