Two usb cables in 1. Exist?
lordnacho:
Making a desktop control panel that will have 2 usb devices(u360 and led controller), but don't want to run 2 usb wires or 1 usb and a power cable(powered hub). Unpowered hubs aren't usually recommended even for a small setup right? So thought maybe there's a cable with 2 male usb on each end? Can't seem to find one. Would like it to be thinner than 2 usb cables shrink wrapped together if possible.
Thanks

Are you able to use the internal USB directly from the motherboard? 9 pin Internal USB is actually 2 usb ports combined in 1 cable. So if you can, you could probably get something like this these:
Plug the one cable into the motherboard internal USB socket, and then on the other end of the cable, plug in the adaptor.
9-pin internal USB cable female to male
Internal USB to Dual External USB Adapter

Oh, and if you need to go the heat shrink wrap route, you could always take the sheathing off of one or both of the usb cables first. I think that would cut down on the size of the cable.

Hmm, first is interesting, but not very portable. Have 2 pc's in my place I'd like to switch them between. Well I could set both up to work with these.
2nd route, I'd have to cut off the ends and solder them back on right? So that I can get the heat shrink wrap on?
Will have to buy some new solder stuff, threw it out in rage on my last project(fixing my tv)

If you look at a place like this there are about a million ways of wrapping two cables together. Not exactly what you want but it could be a fairly easy and attractive solution.
