I don't know how true this is, but I remember reading that you can make a custom wii bar with the lights much closer together if you want to play closer up. I don't know if it really helps or not, but there was a site (that I cant find right now) that helps you calculate what size your wii sensor bar should be depending on screen size and distance from screen.

Why would you want to play a wii on a cab monitor rather than on the big screen in your living room?

Exactly.  I love both, but console gaming and arcade gaming dont mix for me very much.  Modern gaming is with a handheld controller on a big tv.. classic gaming is with arcade controls.   The only console system I really never played but now want to emulate and play with arcade controls is the Dreamcast.

Donkbaca:
I agree, because the dreamcast has playable versions of blitz and gauntlet legends and other games.

The Xbox 360 makes for a good cab builder, because there are a lot of arcade like games on it

I'd like to build an Ikaruga bartop using a GC, but I really didn't find much about padhacking a standard GC controller. If you come across any good info, post it here!

You could use a Dreamcast and Ikaruga, as well.
