Slim Cab with 4 CP - Top Heavy?
TopJimmyCooks:
Since the monitor is 26" there isn't going to be a heck of a lot of bezel on the sides, but there will be some top and bottom. That 21" has to include a stand or something, since it's 16:9 aspect. Another advantage for the evo depth is you could lean the display back as far as you want. I would lean it back to 15 degrees, maybe 18,and then i would make the marquee taller by lowering the bottom of it 1 1/2" or so for better proportions.

I was inspired by the woody in my build, I am using a 4:3 21.4 inch screen, worked out pretty well bezel wise. The problem with wise screens, htough, is the big top and bottom bezels. To compensate, I would make the admin panel right below the screen a little larger, and bring the marquee down a few inches. The marquee area is, what 6 inches high? Make it 9 or nine, that will eat up a few more inches of bezel. It will look weird with no bezel on the sides and 6 inch bezels on the top and bottom.
40 inches will be cramped. I think my panel is 34 inches wide or something like that...

Yeah, I'm 26" to 37" depending on what swap panel is in, but always 2p only, and I feel that 40" would be tight for 4p. If you added 2" to each end of the cp and maybe made the cab 30" instead of 27 you would have 46" or so. And it would help make the bezel more proportional.
I don't have a good feel for sizing for 4p. I wouldn't finalize any dims until that was settled.
Donkbaca:
Yeah, but once you get out to that territory, you are looking at a CP that is around 4 feet wide, which kind of goes against the whole idea of a small foot print slim...
Dr. Willy:
I dont think that cab looks bad at all. I am compteplating going with 2p cp vs a 4p cp im not sure i will utilize a 4p cp enough to justify having one. I do think i want to stick with that display though, there is just something about having a gaint montior in your face while play lol. Thanks for the sketchup. What is the biggest monitor i could get with the woody/evo at standard width.
