Killer Instinct 2 monitor help

postmortem:
The blue wire looks good. no cuts or anything, I messed around with it and still no blue. I was recently told that it could be the trasnsistor on the neck board. He said those machines run them really hot and the break often. Any truth to this?

your best bet is to post this in the monitor section, much smarter people then me there.

newmanfamilyvlogs:
The transistors do get hot and tend to fail, but if that were the case you shouldn't be able to get a blue raster out of it by turning up the drive/bias.

But yes, this needs to be moved to the Monitor forum.

Probably should post more pics of the thing also. Is that a K7000?

WindDrake:
This needs to go to the monitor section (You can also post over @ KLOV's Monitor Section, as they have some real dedicated monitor guys.)

The white stuff is silicone, it's there to stop vibration noise, as some parts switch at audible frequencies, and it's annoying.

If you can turn the screen blue with the bias pot, then you need to follow your JAMMA harness back and check for a break in the blue line. If nothing is wrong there, then you're going to be looking at a chassis problem. Need more pics to be able to tell what sort of monitor you've got there.

MonMotha:
Swap the red and blue video wires from your game board (either at the JAMMA connector or where they plug in to the monitor).  If you now have blue but no red, then you've got a game board or wiring issue.  If the problem remains a lack of blue, then the problem is with the monitor.

And yes, this needs to be moved to the monitor section. Inform a mod.
