Turnarcades:
The control panel's a touch on the large side but overall a nice cabinet profile and a good screen size make up for it, so very good for a first attempt. If you ever do another I'd say to scale the control panel down a touch, but if this is to be your only build it'll be fine and you should be proud of the overall result. So many bad noob builds have appeared on here in the last year or so, which is surprising as the components and advice available to home builders now are so much better. If they all read up first they'd be as good as this.

Thanks for the feedback. That was actually another reason to redo the control panel (down the line). This was a fun project and even had my daughter involved in some phases. The size of the monitor helped bring balance to the width of the cp.

Overrall I am pleased with it. I have learned a lot.

Appreciate the positive feedback. I will post a pic of the finished project in a week or so. I am in the process of installing the T-molding on the sides.

All the best -
JC

Looks good,

Glad to see you're keeping busy during the lockout

lol..if I only made his money..All I can claim is the name. Since I am older, he copied me :)

I've been waiting for someone to do a Simpson-type design with an LCD for monitor. (I wondered, since it didn't seem deep enough for a CRT.) I think the CP is fine. The monitor needs to be higher....but that's a more difficult proposition.
