Is it possible - mame cab and jukebox?

(1/6) > >>

notroubleclubber:
I have a mame cab that I have built from a generic cab in the UK. It's running a pentium 4 3.2ghz and 2gb ram. It's running a 512mb ati radeon card (this has dual dvi outputs) into a 21" CRT pc monitor. It's running win xp with maximus frontend.
I'm very happy with it as a mame cab but I have been hankering for a touchsceen jukebox build.
Due to cost, space and my lack of carpentry skills I've decided to make a combined touchscreen jukebox / mame cab with my existing cab.
My Plan is to cut a hole in the side of my cab and mount the 15" touchsceen in the side of the existing cab ( the touchscreen is thin LCD) and use my existing pc and 2.1 speaker system to run both the mame cab and the touchscreen jukebox.
My question is:
Would it be possible to setthis cab up with one output going to the CRT for gaming and maximus and have the other output on the card going to my touchscreen but also have the touchscreen only display etouch or something and vice versa for the gaming CRT.
I've never ran a dual tv setup so not sure what's possible?
I'm not too worried if the jukebox software can't run at the same time but it would be nice if it did.
And it must be easy to use for the wife!!!
I may also incorporate the touchscreen quiz games if I knew how ( like millionaire what you see in pubs in the uk)
Could I set this up so the t

any ideas?

As long as your video card supports two outputs, I'm sure it could be done. I'd test it out before I cut any holes, though!

Also, what's the shape of your cab?

If both apps want to run in full screen mode, this will not work. The'll have to tolerate windowed mode, and you'll have to tolerate them being in windowed mode.

'Full screen' will take over the primary monitor. Only one can be primary.

Hook a spare monitor up to your PC and experiment before spending money on a touchscreen.

already spent!!!
However if it wont work the way i want it then i will attempt a jukebox build.
