Kortek KT 2001 SF
« on: March 09, 2011, 11:20:45 pm »
I am having a problem with a Kortek KT 2001 SF .  This moniter is dead...some old info I had in the past says to check B+ at the cathode of D605, but I'm not sure if this is correct. If it is, I have no voltage there. I have gone over the electrolitics, and replaced most. I cant seem to locate accurate schematice for this model. I have searched various places and come up with other Kortek KT 2001 schematics, but none for the KT 2001 SF. I cant understand why Kortek had to make so many different variations of this moniter and call them all KT 2001, and be so secretive with their documentation on these units, as these moniters were handled by many distributors. Any help as to where to start troubleshooting this unit is much appreciated.

Thanks Ken. I contacted casinotech this morning and they promptly emailed me the schematic. Unfortuneately, I still have no B+ even after replacing almost every component and confirming the correct values of the resistors in the power supply. I was thinking of getting some coffee and doughnuts ( or maybe a keg of beer)over here to attract some help in fixing this thing.
