Power Supply for Scratch Built Cab

Also, I've decided to pick up the following LED matrix from Groovy Game Gear: http://groovygamegear.com/webstore/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=83&products_id=307

The rest of the build will include the usual suspects: 1 joystick, 1 spinner, 6-9 pushbuttons, and a J-PAC board

The monitor will be plugged into a power strip mounted inside the cab.

Okay, here's the question.  What type of power supply would you guys recomend for this type of configuration?  I've noticed several different power supplies on sites like Groovy and Arcade Emulators.  Would those be sufficient?  Or would it be better to get a PC power supply like: http://www.amazon.com/Coolmax-M-500B-Supply-Connectors-ATX12V/dp/B0013FIO04/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1298428617&sr=1-4

If its gonna be a PC based machine, use  PC pwr supply.

If you do not use a PC type power supply your motherboard will not receive the signals it needs to turn on properly.

Can a PC motherboard even operate with a source of power that it can't communicate with?

Well, that about sums it up.

I didn't realize the PC power supply provided anything other than juice.
