Nice score  You can beat an 8 year old. :)
He got his highest score yesterday, I'll post it so that he'll have the highest score until you get home.

After playing last night, I think this is actually the first time I've played the arcade version of mario bros. I find the biggest frustration comes from controlling Mario. You slide quite a bit when you stop/change direction and I'm used to the console Marios where you can control yourself in midair and make corrections to your trajectory and its a tough habit to break :)
Also its ingrained in my brain that its safe to jump on top of turtles. not helpful here...
game on guys!

I second the idea of being use to Console Marios where you can control in the air too. I kept trying to do a quick turn jump but always ended up jumping straight up or the wrong direction. Probably didn't help I was using a keyboard and only had time to play for 5-10 minutes. I'll have to give it another chance when I have more time.
Leapinlew-thanks for the tips and I'm hoping to have a project announcement up soon with a bartop that was inspired (to be honest, probably stolen :)) from your widowmaker cabinet.

Heres a shot. I took it from my phone. My arcade machines are stand alone and don't have a lan connection, but if we need an actual screenshot or something - let me know.

- One credit only!

Just kidding but I'm pretty sure "one credit only" rule was not about continues but having something to do with old games being affected and not working correctly (some/sometimes) , then again I'm often wrong.

Great, another game I completely suck at! But as soon as my cab is back together I'll have a crack at it. Doing so will only improve my performance after all (",)
