Have working ROMs of Virtua Fighter 2, Virtual On and/or Tekken 2+ been completed for MAME .140?

I am NOT requesting ROMs. Just want to know if emulation for these ROMs in .140 was ever completed.  :)

They work fine if you have a beefy enough system. If they are running slow on yours, try the model 2 emulator and zinc. They run those games on my p4 3.0ghz

I get the messages saying emulation isn't complete etc when I open the ROM then they either run like a skipping CD or not at all.

I'll try Model 2 & see if that fixes it. What I have should be the complete & working .140 ROM set, but maybe a few of the ROMs are bad.

Have you verified your roms with CLRMAME pro?

Let me know if you have any issues with the M@ and Zinc emulators.

Nope, never used CLRMAME pro.

I downloaded Model 2 emulator, but it doesn't work for me. I edited the ROm directory path in the .ini file, but that didn't change anything when I tried to load a ROM. The same list still shows up. The options etc menu options will not open either.

I can't even get Model 2 to work. Every time I try to open a ROM w/it, I get a message from windows saying it has "stopped working".

I dont think Model 2 emulator can use the 140 Roms.  You may need to find a different set for that emulator.

I have what are supposed to be model 2 roms not the .140 ROMs.

  • Insufficient facts always invite danger.

What you meant to say here was that you dumped your arcade pcb's...

I tried again last night & no games work. However, at least this time the DOS window popped up saying missing files. The Model 2 menus still don't work though. Only the load roms option does. If I click options or controller, sound etc, it does not open the menu.

Anyone have a zipped functional copy of Model 2 that could shoot over to me? I have tried a few copies of it & none work for me.

I'm about to give up & just buy a used Saturn console.

Haven't you had several programs that simply and mysteriously don't work, or spontaneously stop responding? If that's the case you may want to check your ram or do a thorough harddrive scan. You might have something failing.

The load roms is the only option that works until a rom loads, then you can access the other options.

You should have 2 exe files, a multi core and a non-multicore, are you using the right one?

Sounds to me like you are not pointing the emulator to the roms correctly

Everything works on my desktop (New PC) except Model 2. I tried Model 2 on my MAME PC as well & still no go.

The Project 64 issue is on my MAME PC.

I have tried the multi exe & the non multi exe.
The ROM path I set in the .ini file is drive letter > model 2 folder > rom folder.
I also remove the semi-colon in front of "Dir" in the .ini file.
The load roms is the only option that works until a rom loads, then you can access the other options.

you have to update your direct x, then the model 2 emulator will work :)
