light gun for xmame?

Well, I have my cab up and running--thanks to this site--and I am thinking about adding a light gun, but I am not really sure where to start.

I searched the archives, but most of what information I did find was either non-specific, or windows related. I also checked out the act-labs website, but it looks like their gun requires windows.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
