Monitor ?
ICPjuggla:
Hi,
I've been looking around for some time now at this great sight and have been putting together the parts for a mame arcade! I have almost everything to get started.. I have a questions though and maybe someone can help me. The main question is how are you all powering your arcade monitors?
I’ve seen some people plugging them into a smart strip which is the way I want to go but how is this done. Pictures would be great in the explanation. I’m by no means an electrician!!

Either literally spliced straight into an AC plug or into an isolation transformer and then into an ac plug.
What monitor do you have?

I have a wells gardner not sure on the model. I would have to open up the back and check if you need that info. Any help would be a god send like I said I'm by no means an electrician!

You'll need to know what model you have so you know if you'll need an isolation transformer or not.
Either way, creating the plug will be as simple as cutting the end off a decent weight cable and twisting the wires together. Soldering them is optional. Then wrapping them back up with electrical tape.
Regardless, the first step is identifying your monitor.
