help, problem with video card on cabinet

<< < (3/4) > >>

Smeghead:
Theres a jumper you can put on that resets the CMOS (default mobo settings) but thats unlikely to help.
The board probably says "cmos reset" next to it, they used to at least.

but If theres no beeps and the CPU doesnt get hot, im afraid it may be fried. That has actually happened to me once, it sucks sorry.
If youve got more memory to try I'd try it, but it dont sound good   :(

BobA:
Had a no boot problem once with a MB that was mounted in a cab.   The screws used were too large and shorted out some on board circuits.  Try removing your MB from the cab and power it up outside the cab on some cardboard or other insulating material.

loppydog:
It kinda sounds to me like his Mobo has defaulted to onboard graphics.  Thant would be easy to check, just plug your vga cable into the onboard VGA port attached to the MOBO. If that works just change the bios to default to the AGP slot.

yweiss:
how can i plug the vga cable to the MOBO? there isnt slot for it just the AGP and the IDE , how to plug it?

What motherboard do you have? Post the brand and model.
