I was mocking him bragging about the size of his TV as if it has an impact on the quality of the game, if anything a bigger TV means its easier to see just how bad it is. I havent loved Mortal Kombat since 2 (loved it so much I bought an MKII dedicated machine) and I havent liked it since Mortal Kombat Trilogy, so perhaps Im a tad biased. I enjoyed Shaolin Monks and thought it was great they hid MKII in there.

I think the downfall of MK was going 3D, just hasnt been the same since. I can admit that MKvsDC was the best of the 3D MKs, but thats not saying much.

EDIT: both spelling and I saw your avatar, we both have KI and KI2 machines...awesome!

I misunderstood his 60 for FPS and not size although below has a point about impacting your experience. I remember the first time I played MK, which was when they unboxed it and set it up when I was working at Malibu grand Prix. I was a total hater at the time since the big fighting game at the time was obviously SF. I played it and eventually enjoyed it but didn’t really start to love it till MK2 was unboxed and rolled out onto the floor. Although UMK3 (or Trilogy on console) is my favorite (the all nighters we would pull at work playing it would have gotten us fired if the boss would have cared)  MK4 was obviously where it started to decline (although I love Quan Chi and his leg rip) and it only got worse from there until MK vs DC. Do yourself a favor and go play Armageddon then play MK vs DC and you will really see how big of an improvement in mechanics it really is. It’s obviously not the best MK but it’s exponentially better which gives some hope for MK9 under WB and having more time and budget to improve upon it.

Now if MK9 is a total lemon they might just need to scrap the team and get some better talent but I suppose only time will tell.

<3 my KI machines,  have been slowly working on the wife so I can get ready and get a UMK machine.

Well I definitely believe that a big tv and good surround system can impact the quality of a game.  For example,  My friend invited me over to play god of war 3.  It's a good game on a 32" but this friend has a projector system setup so we were playing on what was equivalent to a 60" screen, and he had some special speakers he bought and built the boxes for and man..  the opening stage is crazy.  I was far more impressed than anything I had ever seen or heard.

Your TV and sound system can have an impact on how you experience a game.. granted God of War 3 is a good game on any size screen.  I haven't played this game so I can't say.

I love MK vs DC.  Only complaint I have is that you need to sue the D-Pad in order to jump.  I'd much rather they had made it more 2D.

I thought the game was amazing.  For that matter I enjoyed it far more than Street Fighter 4 (which is also a very good game).  Then again I have always been an MK fan (UMK3 = best game ever),

Just darn awesome game.  Really disappointed it never came out on PC.  Would've been awesome to have on my cab, but I love it on the 360.  One of the best 360 games out.  Very underrated game.  Especially if you have some buddies into fighting games.

Probably the best Mortal Kombat game since Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.
