Velcro!

Jawn:
Would some strips of heavy duty velcro be suitable for holding a small control panel (it will also have support beams that reach the ground) in place?  I'm working on building a small 2 player panel and would like to be able to have it swappable for one with a trackball and flight joystick. Is velcro sturdy enough? Anyone ever tried using velcro before? What alternatives are available that are cost effective and cheap? Thanks in advance :)

Sir Headless VII:
I use Velcro from a craft store used to hang pictures. It works really well. It is very sturdy but easy enough to move should I want to.  It was a bit more expensive than I thought it would be (although realistically I was comparing it to screws) but it works perfectly so I am happy.

Thanks for the quick reply! I'll most likely be putting it on my to-buy list.

+1

I use velcro for all kinds of stuff.

SammyWI:
Velcro makes some very strong stuff called Velcro Extreme.  Good strong adhesive and both halves are stiff plastic - no fuzzy loops.  The 'velcro' part is basically stiff little plastic prongs with a flared end.  This may work for you.
