I am trying to get Qix to run but it wont load. It gives a traget refresh of 76.29 and then says there was a memory error violation.

I think it is because of the refresh but not certain.

I am trying to play it with an ArcadeVGA running a WG D9800. All my other games look great. I did intall all the ArcadeVGA software, resolution tool etc.

Any ideas?

Thx
Mark

Not entirely sure why MAME 0.134 would give you a problems - it shouldn't.  The listed refresh is perfectly normal and has been like that for some time.  There was an issue in the U releases (0.133u3 specifically) that qix.c and a few other related drivers crashed due to some internal changes - but that was fixed in 0.133u4 - before 0.134 was released.  I'd make sure you are using official binary from http://www.mamedev.org

Ok that makes sense. I guess I told yall wrong. I am actually using mame .133u3 that I got from MKCHAMP. It has the hi score built in. I guess I either have to compile my own .134 with hi score or just delete qix.

Thx for the info!

Did you change versions of MAME? When you had trouble with Marble Madness you said you were using .134. Just curious.

Yea sometimes when I post I forget that I am using the .133u3 I got from MKCHAMP. I am using .134 roms though.

I plan to compile my own MAME soon so qix will run. I was hoping all my games would work with the .133u3 but it dosnt look like I will be that lucky.

Does anyone wanna provide me with a compiled .134 with hi score and no nag screens?Smiley
