I have no idea, but there's one on location nearby and it sure feels like a beast. Is weight an issue for some reason? You still should be able to move it fine with one other person.

yeah,..on its side would be right,...but the concern would be the size in depth,...as some pins are smaller in depth in the front end,.and get deeper towards the rear..that would give me a problem,..imagine only getting half the machine in/ and the other half wedged outside the door! Talking to you is like banging your head against a wall!

I measured a Gottlieb, Stern, and Bally from that vintage.  All are 20" at the widest depth +/- 1".

 Cheers!

And then give the PCBs a super close once over to make sure you didn't spray them with shavings... that's a quick way to kill them dead.

I actually saw an SI on location on saturday at Canobie Lake Park.  It was sitting at a row of about 20 new Sterns.

You probably won't spray the backbox with shavings so long as you only drill out the tumblers and don't go all the way through the lock.  Not a bad idea to make sure, though.

maybe i should buy some lock-picking tools off ebay and pick it myself,..ill just watch some vids off youtube and learn...
heck....id be pissed if i were to drill out the back box key (which the guy says he doesnt know where it is)..just has the coinbox keys in front..And, only to find out the key is somwhere inside the coffin/body of the darn thing!. Talking to you is like banging your head against a wall!
gotta check that....
if all else fails,...i guess ill have to get a locksmith with a cheap rate...
anyway,..ill post pics up soon of the machine in tow and some extra ...

The key probably IS inside, but hey, that's how it goes.  It's a $2 lock.  Drill it and save yourself the headache.

ok,..heres another question,...lets say your mpu battery goes bad on your original board,..and so you cut the thing off not to further corrode anything else,..so now you look for a replacement battery/ or/ a extention battery box from radio shack and go that route,..i found this battery on ebay,..and the seller says it works on (most) bally machines....hhmmm..thinking about getting that,.but,...the original battery has no volt info or ohm's on it ...nor in the manual either,...so whats a safe way to install battery/ies so i dont blow up a mpu?...heres a picture of the battery from ebay

Cool pinball...but there's just something about a pinball game about a video game that seems just wrong to me.  laugh

Is it just me, or does that garage in the lock video looks very similar to FrizzleFried's Asshat Arcade?

You don't really need a battery, but yes that should be compatible.
