I really like this... its an excellent example of "just enough"... I think you restored what needed to be and did not over do it...  I have a Galaga in nearly the exact same shape so you've inspired me to start...  I like how you dealt with the "fuzzy" edges along the bottom... seems like a good method.

Happy Gaming!

        We're not worthy!

This is the right way to deal with a classic! Perfect Restoration, just the right mix of fix it and leave it alone.

And research indicates that Space Invaders are strongly attracted to people who have recently eaten meat pies.

Great restoration, but the video trumps it all! I love it! Excellent soundtrack!!!!

This tops the gigantic machine thread you have, by far, imo.

That is beautiful. Where do you people find these things? All I see advertised are beaten up playchoice machines or similar generic muck.

Wish I could have taken a few high res picture of the bezel when it was out  8)

An EXCELLENT example of what you should do with dedicated classic arcade classic that's not in the best of shape!  Bravo!  Hopefully others will learn from your success!   :notworthy:

I'm really torn on this...you've fixed that cabinet up really nicely, but...it's a Mame cabinet.  Not that I have a problem with Mame cabs, but the restoration forum is for original hardware.

Do you have plans to fix your board and put it in?

LOL... you're right.

This topic has nothing  to do at all with a restoration : I mean there's no tip about woodworking, removing water damages, choosing the right color, sanding, painting, cutting plexi, applying side art, T-molding, removing air bubbles, coin door renovation... and the worst : not the original board ! I totally agree, nothing on this topic can't help someone  for a Galaga restoration  :applaud:
