Yeah!!!! I got a sticky just for being helpful! Smiley   I've pretty-fied the links

Auction Game Sales: Their auction dates an locations
This website also has photos from past auctions which will give the first-timers some idea of what an auction is like.

GameRoom Magazine's calendar of coin-op shows, auctions & events

Super Auctions - Dates and Locations

US Amusement Auctions: Calendar of Events

And here's another link that auction goers might find useful

Auction Central - This site has listings of games and the prices they went for at a variety of auctions.  This will give you some idea of what you might pay at your local auction.

Oh, that's an easy answer.

You live in Boston, therefore there are none.

There are almost ZERO auctions EVER in the Boston area.

Yeah!  Why IS that, anyway?  Off the top of my head, in the last four years, I can think of three auctions.

Hey, it could be worse.  I live in Utah, and the closest auction I've ever seen is in Denver.  Then maybe california or texas are next.  I may have even seen one once in arizona.

So yeah, I've never been to one.  Don't complain about a 4 hour drive.  lol.

SuperAuction's story is that when they came up here the auction did so poorly that they won't do it again.

About 2 years ago there was an auction in Mesquite, AZ. Unfortunately it was the week before I got into arcades. I still hate myself to this day.

Well, jeeze, it was ONE auction, and they sold a bunch of the newer stuff from a arcade/restaurant.  What did they expect?

I was wondering the same thing.  Now that I have a 3-car garage and a decent basement, was hoping to attend the next auction in Indy..  But their website is down..?

Thanx.

Starburst in Toronto hold auctions?

I guess that answers the question I asked in my PM to you.

Here is the MeetUp thread for the SB auctions (next is 26AUG2006):

Here is RayB's indispensible guide to the SB auctions:

Is anyone going to the upcoming auction in Milwaukee?  I am from the Chicago area and wanted to know if it was worth it to go?

I was also considering making the trip up to Milwaukee to check out the auction. I've never been to one and would like to check it out, but I'm a little low on funds right now so I'm not sure. There is another one up there in November, so if I don't make it, I'll probably go then.

I've thought about it, as well. I'm about 50/50 right now on going-will so how the funds are doing closer to the date.

Well, I came, I saw, and I had a hotdog.  I dunno!

Took the bike so as to avoid making any 'large' purchases. Wink

Saw one real nice Mame cab in the crowd, simple generic design, looked to be a good strong built cabnet but the crowd was quick to screw up the FE, (Mala?) leaving it at a DOS prompt spewing forth gibberish when they touched the unmarked 'mystery' controls.  Tongue  Wouldn't have minded picking up something like that and just finish up the configuration stuff, but, not for the price they sold it at!

Anyway, I achieved my objective, met up with a couple of semi-local folks to contact for parts and assorted stuffs.

Anyone else there?

OK, I won't tell you.  Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!
There were a couple nice ones there, I don't know what their sale prices were as I left early.  One of them was really cool! HUGE screen and a two player bench type seat with a desk type control panel. Looked to be from Japan by the 100 yen marks on the coin slots.
