This is both a new service as well as software, so I have posted this in both forums.

Mameroom Designs LLC has released the latest in control panel designing software.  Design and layout your own customized control panel to build yourself or have us make a custom kit for you!  MameRoom Designs LLC will soon be using this software to manufacture custom control panels completely assembled and ready to plug-and-play!  Each panel will be custom made based on YOUR specifications!

Just a few of the new sofware features:

- Accurate control placement to .001"
- Can draw lines and circles.
- User can now specify the size of the control panel
- Select multiple controls for copying/deleting/moving
- Insert saved control configurations
- User can add controls to side (base) of control panel
- Parts catalogue of part numbers and prices
- Keeps a running total of the cost for added components
- Add backdrops and control panel overlays (see pics)
- Export to BMP, JPG, and DXF (imports into CAD)
- Specify measurements in inches or mm.

...much more and more to come!

(pic using the SPACE STATION control panel overlay)

Your product would be more of service to me if it could import from and export to comma-delimited files.

I'd like to see something I can use with my CPMaker utility. My CPMaker utility takes panel description files, along with the user's background image and pictures of the various controls, and creates an image with the currently non-active controls dimmed out, which is then (optionally, using my BuddaMAME build) displayed to the user when pause is pressed.

If you have a way to export a readable format, such as a comma-delimited file, that I can then convert into a CPMaker template, that would help a great deal. If you would like to share your artwork images, all the better.

If you're interested, I'd be glad to send you my documentation on my panel file layouts.

Regards,
Buddabing

Sure, I can add to the export and import of the CPD program.  Please send any documentation to sales@mameroom.com.

You should add a testing feature for frankenpanels.

A hand moves and and swings back forth, up and down on the trackball.  And for the spinner move in and puts the other hand on the buttons....

basically so people can see that there will be an issue of that 4way sitting right infront of their trackball.

Shouldn't be all that hard to add (just animation of an image... motion based on the control type.)

Once a control has been placed, I can't go back to it and drag it around, I have to manually enter the X & Y positions.  Is there a way to drag a control that is selected (highlighted in Cyan with the square in the middle)?

Yes, I apoligize...I'm working on instructions.

Click once to grab the control to change it's properties (ie, color, options, x & y position).

Double-click to drag it around the layout screen.
