hey I have a 4 slot mvs that I have converted to mame.. i was just gonna deal with the 4 buttons because i thought the only game I'd need 6 for is street fighter and also I don't want to make any changes to my cabinet so it's still pretty authentic. Now i'm realizing almost every fighting game uses 6 buttons so I dont know what to do.. would u guys just recommend disabling 2 buttons in each game.. like maybe medium punch and medium kick?? or should i add the extra 2 buttons.. is it hard to do?? I know it's inexpensive but i'm worried about the work.. also would the cab lose value do you think??

Personally I'd keep it original... but that's just me... I guess you have to do what's right for you. Personally, having an original MVS cab is far more desirable in my eyes...
Also, I guess the 6 button layout would probably be a bit odd as aren't most Neo cabs 4 buttons in a row... you could hardly have 6 in a row and sticking 2 underneath would be slightly awkward...

thats kinda what i'm thinking and ya it would be awkward because it's 4 in a row and the way they are setup is kinda strange too... but i dont know what to do about playing games like mortal kombat and marvel vs capcom and all of that..

If you've already converted it to MAME I'd make a new CP top with a 6 button layout. Keep the old CP somewhere in case you ever decide to convert it back. You might as well play the games you want to play.
