Title: Hack arcade controls with Playstation controller?
Post by: bigred09 on January 31, 2010, 05:24:34 pm
I've been thinking about making a custom arcade. I want to build an Oddworld:Abe's Odyssey cabinet. I want to use an original Playstation inside. Is there a way to hack an original Playstation controller to saaayy an iPac or Ultimark? Like I said, I want to use an original Playstation, but still have an arcade feel. And NO X-ARCADE!! I think this classic game would make for a great stand-up. Thoughts?

Aren't there PlayStation emulators?  Why not just go that route?  Swapping discs and powering on the system would kind of kill any arcade feel you were going for...

It's very easy to have arcade controls with a psx controller.

There are many examples around the net, here's just one of them.
