Hi,
I have wireless xbox 360 controllers setup on my pc. I use them through maximus arcade and noticed that one day when i left the controller alone while playing one of the emulators (I think it was jnes) through maximus the controller went to sleep and maximus showed an error concerning the missing controller.
Does anyone know how to prevent the xbox 360 controller from going to sleep? It would be great if it only turned off if I held down or pressed the big "X" button in the middle.
I read somewhere that the usb xbox 360 controllers won't disconnect after inactivity, but I'd rather use the wireless ones I already own.
I don't plan on leaving them overnight, it's just so I can leave them on if I have friends over. If they disconnect it causes issues within maximus for me.. sometimes not all times. I think it's actually the emulator and not maximus, but last time it made me quit maximus and caused all sorts of issues.
I'd appreciate any advice

As they are battery operated devices, I think their power down is hard coded.
But you can just hold the start button and the power back up, what's the big deal?

it made my front end mess up, or it made the emulator (jness) mess up which made the front end mess up. Not sure which it is at this point.

I realize this is an old thread but I would seriously like to know if there's a way to avoid this as well? It's very annoying. :embarassed:

The only way you are going to be able to do that is by getting play and charge cables.
If they are plugged in, they won't go to sleep.
You could just plug em in when you plan on leaving them for a while, and if you want em wireless while you play, then simply unplug the cable from the controller.
