Title: Interesting cabinet project...
Post by: Turnarcades on January 28, 2010, 11:28:30 am
Check out this page I just stumbled on researching OutRun cabinet dimensions:

http://www.conceptlab.com/outrun/ (http://www.conceptlab.com/outrun/)

That's all there is to it and I don't know if anything come of it, but it would be pretty funny to see made.

Now you know what you can do with that old Sinclair C5 in the garage.

Maybe add speccy outrun on it too!

Crazy stuff.
Although when he crashes
this thing and flies out of it,
he may not land as well as
the game characters.

Outrun 2 taught me that all cars land on their wheels and facing forward. :D

More and more people are using their arcade cabs on the roads these days.  :laugh2:

See this video of a Neo-Geo on roads, a beach, even in a supermarket.

(Actually, according to a post at www.neo-geo.com/forums (http://www.neo-geo.com/forums) , the person and cabinet are really on a rig pulling it around, but the Metal Slug on the monitor is green-screened in)
