So I was reading about decasing, and would love to do that at some point to my tv to save on space, but I am also aware of (I believe) x-ray radiation emitted by the tvs. I know it's not too big and is being contained inside of tv case, but if I decase it, how much of it will be emitted, how dangerous it could be to adults and even more so small children. After all games are being played in close proximity to the screen. Anyone knows? Anyone had done some research before decasing? Thx

0 to none. http://www.fda.gov/Radiation-EmittingProducts/ResourcesforYouRadiationEmittingProducts/Consumers/ucm142625.htm (http://www.fda.gov/Radiation-EmittingProducts/ResourcesforYouRadiationEmittingProducts/Consumers/ucm142625.htm)
The dinky plastic case around the TV virtually does nothing in either case.

The glass of your monitor is leaded to protect you from ionizing radiation created when the electrons strike the phosphors. Your safe from radiation, just watch our for electric shock. :P

If your kids hair and teeth start falling out then you'll know you've had to much.

I think you should be more worried about electrocution then radiation

If this was true about the case...Then I'm suing the hell out of Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, and Mortal Kombat...(decased monitors in a wooden box) plus I will be able to win back all those quarters I lost during the 80s& 90s :burgerking:
