So I have these bartop machines that I'm converting into 48-in-1's.
I noticed on the chassis that it has two switches.
They read :
POSI-V-NEGA & POSI-H-NEGA
So obviously (BOY WAS I WRONG) they are for vertical & horizontal orientation.
I would assume for my needs I would put the V switch to "POSI" & the H switch to "NEGA."
Would the top of the monitor be the part with the suction cup from the fly back ?

I also noticed on the chassis a section for the yoke, where one says H & one V.
Obviously depending on the orientation depends on which you use.
*** EDIT *** Do you connect the set with the letter that would match your monitor orientation ?
V - vertical, H - horizontal
I've included pictures, but I cant tell which is for which.
I labeled it in photoshop, I think I have it correct.

POSI-V-NEGA & POSI-H-NEGA
So obviously they are for vertical & horizontal orientation.
Those are actually for POSITIVE or NEGATIVE Sync depending on what kind of signal you are sending the chassis.
In your case go with the NEGATIVE for the 48in1.
I also noticed on the chassis a section for the yoke, where one says H & one V.
Obviously depending on the orientation depends on which you use.
You should only have to use one of those strips of pins.
Move it to the other set of pins if your picture is upside down and backwards. (yoke flipping)

So with the switches I'm going to make sure both are switched over to "NEGA" ?
With respect to the YOKE pins the monitor only has one connection that comes off it that would go into either set.
So your saying I can just used either the top or bottom, it would cause no damage.
And if the picture is the wrong way simply power down and switch to the unused set ?
With respect to the POSITIVE/NEGATIVE sync, what is that ?
If these were in the wrong position would it cause monitor or board damage ?
thanks

No additional help ?
If I have the switches in the wrong position could I damage my monitor ? (or board even)
Also how would I know what kind of sync I need to send to the monitor ?
Sorry guys I'm a total NOOB!

Two two slide switches select the type of sync signal the monitor expects to see from your gameboard. In your case BOTH switches must be set to NEGATIVE since the 48 in 1 and Jamma boards generate negative sync.
Regarding the two yoke connectors. Plugging the yoke cable into one of them will give a normal picture and the other one will give an upside down & backwards picture for cabinets where the monitor is viewed bounced off of a mirror. Your 48 in 1 gameboard has a dip switch setting to flip the picture upside down also.

Thank you, I appreciate all the info.
I was concerned that I would damage something if something was done wrong.
I'm off to my new project !
I'm hoping it all goes well!
I'm sure I'll have lots of questions so thank you in advance to the good people of BYOAC!
