So I bought a used Hori EX2 for $40 and got a new one for CHristmas to have a lovely matched set. Comparing them I noticed my used one the stick is 'loose'. Not a lot, I didn't even go like 'Man this is broken' untill I compared it to the new in box unit. It has a bit of free 'wobble' but doesn't touch any microswitches without resistance. So I disasembled it to see if there was something I could tighten it. ...And I forgot how to reassemble it and had to disassemble the second one to use as a reference for the first one. :D
My results are just that the spring on the used one is a bit weaker. It was straight forward enough to disassemble the stick and get at the spring but does anyone know how hard it'd be to replace the spring with a stiffer one? Maybe if one of the springs gives out entirely?

Measure the spring width and height.

See if he has anything that'll suit your needs. I would have to assume one of those in the link above will work for you.

JLF spring is the same diameter how hori crap
both stick have something 160g but hori stick have shorter shaft if you use spring from JLF on hori shaft you add >30g
