You generate a mame.ini file but using the command mame -cc

Search "mame -cc" or post back if you can't get it to work.

Edit: search WITH the quotes or else you'll get eleventy bazillion results.

Do you know how to pull up a command prompt?  It looks like an old DOS-style window?

I don't know how Win 2000 handles that.

Ok, good.  Not trying to treat you like a four year old....  :)

Where is your mame folder located?

Something like in the C:/ drive?  Or c:/games/mame?  Or where?

Good.  If you know that, you can do this pretty easily.

In the command prompt window, type:

cd\
It should take you to C:\

Now type cd juegos

You should now be at c:\juegos

Now type cd mame

You should now be at c:\juegos\mame

EDIT - Hit ENTER after each step so cd\  ENTER

okay there now

Almost done.

Just type mame -cc  ENTER

Then go to your mame folder itself.  You should now see the mame.ini file.  Open it up.  It should open in notepad or whatever text editor Win 2k came with.  Look for a line that says Mouse 0 (or mouse 1).  If it's 0, change it to 1 and save the file before closing it.

Your spinner should work now.
