Hello,
I have configured my gun both in-game and out. the cursor/bullseye moves on the screen fine. I feel like it tracks pretty good. But no matter where I point on screen, the bullet hits the exact same location. Any ideas?

It sounds like it could be one of a couple things. In the mame config menu, make sure the mouse/lightgun x and y inputs are set to the correct gun input. It may be that the aimtrack button is showing up in mame as joy 1, but the gun needs to be mouse 2. Select input menu, select mouse/lightgun x, and carefully move the gun in a horizontal line. If it registers more than one direction, try again. Repeat for y.
If you have check this or it isn't the problem, some lightgun games have their own service menus with calibration that is specific to the game. You can usually get to the menu by hitting F2 or something. Then you use something like 1P to move down the menu, and 2P to select.

are you using the latest 1.3 firmware?
use the aimtrak_13 program
update the firmware with the firmware update tool then use the calibration tool after you have updated the firmare.
in the calibration tool set the trigger to left mouse.
now get it going on desktop only to start you should be able to point at any program/app shoot it and then it would open.
just stick with getting it going on desktop then once that is set go for the games afterwards just try to get one thing going right to start first off before trying multiple things and having multiple problems this way we can limit your troubles down and make it a little faster and easier to get it up and running right.

I had the same problem. It's shooting dead center in the screen because that's where you second controller is pointing. I realized that when I moved my gun around, the crosshairs would move and when I pulled the trigger it would shoot. I didn't know why I couldn't shoot anything. Then I moved my mouse around and pulled the trigger on the gun and that's what I was shooting. I had to change the settings in the aimtrak application and finallly got it working. Now I'm trying it on my arcade and I'm having tons of problems. But I'll start another thread for that. Search the old threads and you will see my post about your problem and how I got it working.

make sure you give it its own device ID with that program too otherwise it could conflict with other device's
like me with the two guns I need to make gun 1 device 1 and gun 2 device 2 becuase if they both were device 1's then both guns would conflict with each other when there both running at the same time and both acting as the same device when they should be seperate.
