This question has been on the forum more than once I just couldn't seem to find it.
I think I am up to 32 buttons on a 2 player board. Hmmmm, I prolly need more key slots lol
Can I map some of the buttons on the together on the ipac? I figure they will have the same function but I cant use every button all at once.
Thanks for any knowledge in advance.

32 buttons for a 2 player board?!?!?! I think you've gone a little overboard there but each to his own.
The I-Pac has an inbuilt shift function you could use for some things. eg hold P1 start and press P1 button 1 for an extra function, so there's plenty of room for whatever you need. First up you should probably take a look at what controls you're actually going to need before putting in a button for everything you can think of, else it'll end up too confusing.

It's worth noting that four of the 32 inputs (1A, 1B, 2A, 2B) can't be shifted. I'm not sure why that is, but all the other inputs can be, so it's not much of an issue.
But, yeah, you can connected multiple buttons to the 'player 1, button 1' input, for example, if, say, you want a top-side button and a side-pinball-style button to both do the same thing.

I mapped out the buttons to play specific games in conjunction with certain controllers. I generally mapped my cp out to be something similar to robtronnuts cp. Which I thought was a pretty well thought out layout. He didnt use any pinball buttons that I notice in his design but yet his button count came out to 24. Add 5 more for the tilts and flipper and your up to 29....and thats on a board thats not too crowded.
I think I counted in that the 2 buttons that come off the track ball and those I guess I shouldnt have counted.
I will double up on some for the flippers and tilts. that'll save 5.....

Keep in mind you can use the same connection as a button for pinball flippers, etc, that way you don't waste them.
