Title: Mala won't launch PONG in Misfitmame0127(I think)
Post by: taylormadelv on January 16, 2010, 10:57:48 am
No matter what I do, I can't seem to get mala to launch PONG in Misfitmame. I really don't want to have to use a keystroke to bring up an outside application as I'm using joystick controls. I even craeted a dummy roms folder and adjusted the mala settings but I can't launch PONG. Can anyone help?

Do you have games roms in folders, or in zip files? If you have the roms in zips files, then make a dummy pong.zip file and refresh the mala gamelist. The misfitmame options are the same as another "misfit" game.

It may work.

If you have the misfit roms in zip files intro the rom folder, just make a dummy pong.zip and put it into the ROM folder. Refresh MALA list.

I discovered "Tournament Table" and now I can play several Pong-like games within my main emulator. There's a big difference between how misfit pong and the real Atari "pong-like" games play. IMO Misfit pong needs to speed up a bit and the sounds could be a bit better but it's great for what it is...
