Title: Free Dynamo arcade cabinet (Corpus Christi, TX)
Post by: Q*Bert_OP on January 12, 2010, 07:33:29 pm
I'm offering a Dynamo cabinet free for the taking. It is an HS-5 Model. There is a 25" picture tube, and monitor glass. No control panel. The coin door frame is there but the door was robbed off of it before I got it.

The sticker on the back says it was a dedicated Moonwalker.

I'll chop this one up if it's not gone within two weeks.

Here's an example of the size/shape of cabinet, not the one that's being given away: (http://www.arcade-history.com/images/cabinet/1625.jpg)

HAHAHAHAHA yer Hilarious!!! I been busy or I would thrown it on my pile of Doo Doo over here lol. It was too heavy for me to consider a suitable mame cab anyway. Ugh...old MK cab is double heavy enough already.

Wow looks like you worked out some frustration too!!

Your attention to detail when destroying a cabinet is similarly mind boggling to the attention you put on other things....

 :o

Thanks...

Like ball troughs?

Wow I know I'm years too late but I gotta post this. Seems hella wasteful for such a rare cab to be chopped up like that! I was asked to find one recently and they're rare as rocking horse ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---.

A) You bumped a four year old thread and added NOTHING to it.
B) You bypassed the censor. We have our own censoring system. Either say ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- or don't. The filter will take care of it depending on who wants to see swearing and who doesn't.
C) Welcome to BYOAC!

I contacted original poster:

"You still read there?

Those dipshits realize moonwalker was just a dynamo cab?

With a 3 player panel"

Yeah, Dynamo's are everywhere. Not too hard to find that cab, and not necessarily a "classic" to cry over.
It's a great utility cab though. I still might get one in the future when I have more space.

Interesting choice to bump this thread on a first post, but oh well.

Yeah, if you need a good MAME or JAMMA/NeoGeo cabinet, they're great.

considering there are literally no arcades where i live, this "dipshit" really does cry over dynamo cabs. Then again, I'm not going to go KLOV-Nazi on someone over their own personal property.

Wow good job I didn't flash a nipple or stick my middle finger up or the whole of the USA would be up in arms.  ::) Ridiculous.

If the filter can't handle my original (but very predictable spelling) then it's not much good IMO. Can't somebody just add new words to outlaw manually? That might solve the problem. I wasn't purposely bypassing the filter - to be honest I didn't even give it a thought.

As for the cab, I didn't realise it was that common (I don't know much about arcade cabs really (I'm new to this hobby). I was more speaking about the Moonwalker artwork that I presumed was on the side when it was destroyed - I haven't been able to find any original artwork (or cabinet) anywhere.

thanks for the welcome.

FYI, working around the profanity filter is against the rules (http://arcadecontrols.com/arcade_message_rules.html). The filter works the way it should. The rules work the way they should. You can either agree with the rules, or you can be on your merry way.  :police:

That being said, if you don't know much about cabinets, then you've come to one of the right places. You just learned that dynamo's aren't that rare.
Also, that art is easily recreated, even with basic photoshopping skills. It's just the Moonwalker movie poster cropped to fit that shape, with red framing and a sega logo.

A quick google search and you can find a high-res version of it to use:

There was no indication by the OP that the side-art was actual there. I'm sure he would have mentioned it, as he mentioned everything else about the cab.

He agreed to the rules when he signed up. There are no other options.
