Title: M.A.M.E. Resolution Tool v3.2 - 'runtime error 13, type mismatch' - Help?
Post by: dekar24k on January 12, 2010, 04:06:41 am
So I decided I'd try MAME Res Tool (http://mamewah.mameworld.info/downloads.htm), as it has more options and "tweakability" than AVRes but I can't get it working!

When I try to generate the game list all I get is a "Runtime Error 13: Type Mismatch" error and then the application crashes. I have installed the required system files.

My system specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo E7600 @ 3.06GHz, ArcadeVGA2 (AGP), 2GB DDR2, Win XP Pro SP3.

Running MameUIFX32 v0.136.

Any help would be highly appreciated. :)

Ok forget about Mamerestool. I solved it using AVRes instead. I deleted the 50hz/51hz modes from the ArcadeVGA.txt file before I ran ArcadeVGARes and now every game looks awesome (at least those I've tested so far). I wasn't aware that ArcadeVGARes read resolutions from the ArcadeVGA.txt file (but now I do).

I had the same problem. I just found out, it's because of the decimal character. Mine is ","
I did change it in the regional settings of Windows for a "." and now it works fine.

Pitou!
