Title: Questions about the X-Gaming Joystick

Hi all,

I got my arcade controls recently but know pretty much nothing about joysticks. I want to ask:
a) how put it together? and
b) whats the standard thickness of wood to mount the joystick to? i.e. distance between joystick mounting platform and top of control panel.


Also, when i put it together (pretty sure its not the correct way) the microswitch buttons are not fully clicked in when the joystick is moved. I've attached to images of the joystick to make things easier.

you may have the actuator inverted. You can set it to 4 or 8 way by flipping the plastic piece that touches the switches. You may simply have it set to 4 way.
