I installed NullDC and have it working for the most part.
It launches in full screen and plays fine.
The problem arises when I try to close it.
I'm using hotkeys to close:
Name: Close
Type: Close
Source: Esc
The emulation windows closes, the console window doesn't, then
I get the message "nullDC_1.0.3_mmu.exe has stopped working"
The next time a game launches, it launches in a window, not fullscreen.
It closes fine as long as the game is running in a window.
I go back into the cfg file and turn fullscreen back on, games will launch in fullscreen & the exiting problem returns.
I'm testing this on my main computer running Vista 64, but the same thing happens on my MALA setup, which is running 32 bit XP Pro.
Anyone else have this issue and find a solution?

Update: Set the cfg file to read only, so NullDC can't change the fullscreen setting.
I still get the error message on exit. After I close out the error message, the next launch works as it should.
Is there a way to make windows "not care" that the program has stopped working and go ahead and close it?

Found somewhat of a workaround. It will do for now......
NullDC cfg file is set to read only, so it can't change the fullscreen settings back.
Since it only crashes when in fullscreen, I made a hotkey to post Alt+Esc to switch focus, which knocks it out of fullscreen.
Then another hotkey to close it.....and no error message. :applaud:
I used the 2 and the 4 which is how I'm used to exiting MAME on my x-arcade anyway.
Press 2 first, then press 4 when your Mala layout pops back up.
(or hold down both until you see the Mala layout)

ok, after hours spent finding a workaround, I go downstairs to implement it on my MALA setup that runs XP,
......and it exits just fine without the workaround. :timebomb:
At least setting the cfg file to read only was useful.
Maybe a Vista 64 thing? I seem to run into a lot of Vista 64 things.
