I'm planning to install 4 of the newer model Nova Gems (the ones eqipped with the PCB), along with my current Nova Gem coin pushbutton, on my cab. In doing this, I do not plan to use a LED Wiz. In other words, I was wondering if (and how) these 5 LED buttons can be connected to the 5v source on my power supply. Right now, I have just the Nova Gem coin pushbutton spliced to the 5v source on my power supply.
Would I be able to simply twist the 5 red wires together and and crimp them with a QD to the 5v wire coming from the directly power supply? (And do the same thing with the five black ground wires?)
Perhaps, should I daisy chain all the wires together and then attach the end wire to the 5v wire coming from the power supply (in addition, same process for the ground wires)?
Will any of these methods possibly work, or will I need to invest in something like a LED Wiz? I'm confused. ???

The novagems should be wired in parallel to your 5V supply. In other words twist all the same color wires together and attache to 5V and ground.

So that means that one sole 5v wire is capable of lighting 5 seperate LEDs?

Should be no problem to support 5 LEDs.

How about 12 or so LEDs? I was just wondering in case I decide some day to replace all of my buttons with Nova Gems. :D

12 Leds at approx 20 ma is 240 ma or .25 amp @ 5 V. No problem on a single power line.
