Title: additional control panels...

i would like to build something that goes on the side(s) of the arcade cabinet/control panel to add 3/4 player controls :). i would just hack some USB gamepads so that they could just be removed at any time. ;)any ideas of how i could just attatch these ??? i think that this would be VERY useful/space saving...

P.S. i have a bad dudes VS. dragonninja cab (running mame)

my design has removeable 3/4P panels.
but it would be a challenge to describe it to you. i will be done with it this weekend (if happ and laminate gets here in time) and i'll have some pics.

that would be awsome! i have wanted to do this for some time but have been busy with other projects :(. plus i'm trying to have the monitor rotatable (but i need a jigsaw) ;D

If you have the larger version of the ipac, it'd be much easier to use multi-pin connectors to easily add and remove your second panel.

i don't have an i-pac, to much for me :( i was cheap and did a keyboard hack ;D. i MIGHT have used the ipac if i REALLY wanted to but i didn't have much money at the time :-[ cuz i'm one of th younger people building a mame cab (its mostly finished) ;)

Do you really want to do this, it is a lot of hard work, especially since there are not that many 4 player games.

What I am doing is just having pads for P3 + P4. There is maybe 2-5 games that I'll play 4 players, so this should be fine for me.

I REALLY would like to have the extra 4 player control panels ;D i love the simpsons games and ninja turtles games + i actually have friends :o

Im glad you have friends..  ::)

Yeah my favorite 4 player ones are Turtles and Simpsons, but it wasnt really worth adding the extra joysticks just for those games.

i suppose if you have the room though, 4 player cp is cool.

im not making a 4P panel for arcade, im making a 4 player panel for SNES, GBx, N64...
