Title: Should I fix my Neotec NT-2701
Post by: staffell on January 06, 2010, 02:17:22 am
Hi All,

I have a new project converting a cabinet to a mame machine.

It has a Neotec NT-2701 inside that is all messed up.  I'm bring to a local arcade shop to have it tested and possibly rebuilt for around 100 bucks i'm hoping.  Is this monitor worth fixing?  I assume yes but wanted to weigh all my options such as a newer tri mode monitor.  Biggest issue is cost.  I think a newer 27" is going to cost me around $400ish maybe a little less.

Thanks in advance.

out of interest i put a tri sync rodotron 666a chassis onto a 2702 monitor and the picture was superb
not sure if the 2701 has the same yoke but if you can read it with an lcr meter and it matches  specs then you would have saved yourself a few quid and got yourself a tri sync monitor

i have all the readings for rodotron chassis if you need them

Those NT-2701 Mid Res monitors are very good, simple and nice image quality if properly adjusted and refurbished. It's always worthy to fix them; but the price is too high I guess. I fix them  www.adrianelectronics.com (http://www.adrianelectronics.com)
