I've seen motion capture boxing and gun games, but this is a winner. Check it out:

It's a motion capture Samurai sword fighting game. Sounds like fun! Sounds like a game Namco would make. Never seen one, though.

I think it's wild how joysticks and buttons have gone the way of the Dodo in modern arcades. It's only a matter of time before that Back to the Future quote becomes a reality. "Wha? You have to use your hands!?"

Interesting...
The "sword in the stone" is a nice touch.

Thats funny, I was going to write a post about playing that game this weekend. Except the one I played had a peddle to lunge forward and it was all completly written in kanji. The first stage is you running through a forest with people jumping out of the bushes to attack you. All you see is the sword floating. The game was not very responsive. But the background was interactive. ( I sliced through someone and it also cut the bambo that was behind him) It also had some sonic thing that killed everyone in a radius which also cut the bambo. Overall I give the game a 7. Great idea but a little weak in the implementation. I played another game that had the same type of control but it was a golf game. It had a screen raised about 12' of the ground in front of you and when you got into a golf stance over the screen it put a club head by the ball. You could even change the angle of the club head by twisting your wrists a little bit. But it was a little to accurate because I hit some crapy shots. But for some reason after the third shot, it kept on saying that it couldn't find the sensor and it timed out three times and then told me game over. Oh well. Great idea again. Just need to work out all the bugs.
