There's not even a monitor chassis there....... what are you trying to hook up ?
-
hantarex polo was the original chassis from that crt(can't say whether its a polo 1 or 2 without yoke readings)
-
thats all the monitor had in the cabinet theres just 3 wires coming out of it heres more pics. am i out of luck on this
-
you need a monitor chassis,we are you USA or UK?
-
im in the US close to san francisco, california. is it hard to fix what would be a good choice for a monitor if this one is no good my cabinet fits a 25" but i think a 27" fits not sure....
-
8 liners will do a chassis that fits thats screen, also alva amusements will have a wei ya generic chassis that will also fit
all you will need are the impedence readings of the deflection yoke-by using a multimeter
another option is to find the exact model chassis that fits on-maybe ebay(pretty sure its a hantarex polo 1 25)
otherwise buy a 24.8" crt monitor complete, most companies in the US seem to supply them quite readily(unlike the u.k)-nieman displays do a tri sync 24.8 monitor
-
when you say get a complete crate do you mean a Wells Gardner? i do not use a arcade vga card just a vga out from a laptop for now. do you recommend any where site/make to get i plan on getting one as soon as i have the black paint removed (one side is done)
-
what is your actual intent with this cab,is it going to be mame and are you going to want original resolutions?
-
mame with frontend and a few other emu's i should have said that before sorry
-
well 2 options are to go with a replacement chassis and use either a avga card or soft 15k OR go for a new trisync monitor
former will be of course cheaper and easier(as long as you can use a multimeter and have basic electronic skills)
chassis-8 liners,alva amusements
monitors-nieman displays,wells gardner,happ controls
-
kool thx so much i think ill go the wells gardner route because im not sure about elec. skills and no meters. the wells gardner at gaming to you know if it will fit my cabinet heres a pic of the current monitor in the cabinet
-
looks like the wells gardner route is a no go,i do not believe a 27" will fit in that cab without serious headaches
available are
http://www.niemandisplays.com/nieman_video_displays_007.htm (http://www.niemandisplays.com/nieman_video_displays_007.htm)
http://www.happcontrols.com/monitors/49305600.htm (http://www.happcontrols.com/monitors/49305600.htm)
and of course if you buy a new monitor it will almost certainly be a pure flat crt whereas your bezel fits a curved crt
-
does this one you listed VGA to hook it up? http://www.happcontrols.com/monitors/49305600.htm (http://www.happcontrols.com/monitors/49305600.htm)
not worried about the bezel ill order a new one to fit it..
-
yes that will work, you would need to set your graphics card at max of vga 640 x 480 but you then have the option to do so much with a trisync
for instance if your cab is already jamma wired then you could get a pc to jamma interface like a j-pac and still have the option to put original game boards in
at any rate you will need to install some kind of decoder for the controls
as for the bezel you could probably reshape it with a craft knife
tbh i am no mame expert as i have only build a few mame cabs-i just look for easiest/cheapest options
if it was my cab i would be chucking in a cheap chinese 15khz chassis and buy a jpac-job done
-
lol i know i need a ipac to make my control panel theres no wiring in the cabinet to bad your not in my area you seem to know a lot about this
-
check out this video what you think spacegoogie Wells Gardner D9800 27" monitor (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0l1x3U5Lb4#)
-
if you can get a d9800 monitor to fit then that would be great, its a very good quality picture
-
I have a ki2 cabinet that someone painted over and i used citrus strip to make it look great again looks good deff post some pics and videos in the project section i would like to follow along and see how it comes
-
edit: disregard wrong thread

That tube is for a HANTAREX Polo 25" Chassis. Low resolution CGA. I'ts not a Polo 2 Chassis.
