Title: SK Jukebox skipping songs
Post by: digitaldj on December 25, 2009, 09:49:00 pm
Hello All,

I have a wierd problem going on since I updated my computer in my juke. I wants to skip songs in the playlist. Basically it plays every other song. Seems to work fine on random but not sure because it would just pick another song anyway. I am also running SK on my desktop computer and work with no problems. My desktop and new computer are running Windows player 9, all the latest updates from microsoft except service pack 3. So everything is pretty much the same other than the new computer being a dual core and the desktop being single core.

I was wondering if anybody has had the same problem at one time or another and what their fix was!

Thanks!
Kevin

Thanks BobA,

I gave that a try and seems to be working fine now. That is so weird that it plays fine on a couple of other computers and my old jukebox system but not on the new one. I even reinstalled a couple of times thinking I had a bad install. I also thought maybe there was something with the speed of the computer that SK didn't like. Even though changing the compatibility mode fixes the problem I would still like to know what is causing it, that's just the way I am.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hard to get to the real cause since the source was not released.   Sort of have to make the best of what we have unless someone wants to reverse engineer the program.

I had the same problem with SKJukebox 4. It would skip random songs.  I went back to SKJukebox 3 because of this, and just did the keyboard fix I read on this site to fix that.  I'm glad you guys found workaround, but I'm happy with version 3.
