Title: WG D9800 & Ultimarc ArcadeVGA2 (PCIe) H-Size problem
Post by: ei8ht on December 25, 2009, 06:30:52 am
Hello guys,

I'm using a ArcadeVGA2 (driver used which were delivered with the card) on a WG D9800 /Win7 64bit. My frontend is MameUI64 0.135u4. I've already set all game infs with avres. My problem is that I have to make the picture smaller but the menu point h-size on my OSD says already "0". I am not able to adjust the picture over the CCC, because the button is grayed out.

I am not sure if the hardware could be broken. On the boot screen I have between the written text white stripes and geometry probs with my wg with a resolution 800x600 on the right site (no way to make it almost perfect with OSD).

Does anyone have an idea, what I can try to solve that problem?

By the way...merry x mas  :)

on the chassis you can find a h-size analogue pot. use that to shrink the picture just to fit, if you shrink it too much you will get sidecompression on 15khz modes.

Thank you for your reply.

I used the analog pot, but It won't go small enough to fit.

Any other idea?

Edit: Added some pictures, so you guys can see what I am talking about.

I solved the problem!

The eeprom on the chasis was the reason for it. After reading out a working eeprom and overwriting my old one it worked fine...

Maybe that helps other with the same problem in the future...
